What it is good at
- Native 30-second generation in one pass
- Native synced audio with lip movement for quoted dialogue
- Up to 50 reference assets: 30 images, 10 videos, 10 audio
ByteDance · Video · 27 credits per second
Seedance 2.5 is for long single takes with spoken lines and for shots driven by your own reference files. Know first that it stops at 720p on Ugesi, so plan any 1080p delivery elsewhere.
27 credits per second.
Clip lengths: 4 s – 30 s.
Resolutions: 480p, 720p.
Seedance 2.5 generates up to 30 seconds in one pass. That lets a walk-and-talk or a slow product reveal play out without stitching. It also writes synced audio with lip movement when you put dialogue in quotes. So a presenter clip can come out with voice in one run. Its third strength is references: up to 50 assets, split as 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio files. Character, motion and rhythm can all come from material you supply.
For a talking clip from a text brief, use AI Video Generator's Talking to camera preset. For music, AI Music Video Generator takes an image and an audio upload. Neon night and Retro film are good starting looks. To animate one still, Photo to Video with Turn to camera or Gentle life keeps the subject recognizable. AI Video Ad Generator takes a product image, and Product hero or Testimonial fit most briefs. AI Camera Motion adds moves like Slow dolly in or Drone orbit to an uploaded image. AI Dance Generator covers routines from Hip-hop groove to Bollywood.
Try "A baker in a flour-dusted apron looks into the camera and says: 'We start at four every morning. The first loaf is always for the neighbors.' Warm kitchen light, slow push in." Keep each quoted line short enough to fit the clip.
For a long take, try "Single continuous shot following a cyclist through a market at dusk. Stalls light up one by one, no cuts." Pick 20 or 30 seconds for this. At 8 seconds the move barely starts.
Durations run 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. Aspect ratios are 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1. Resolution is 480p or 720p only, with no 1080p or 4K on this route. Use 480p for framing checks and 720p for anything you post. If a client needs 1080p physical motion, Kling 3.0 renders at 1080p for the same 27 credits per second. Its clips stop at 15 seconds, though, and come back silent on Ugesi.
A 10-second clip costs 270 credits, about $2.87 at the best pack. A full 30-second take is 810 credits, about $8.62, while a 5-second test is 135 credits, about $1.44. It ranks 22nd from the cheapest of 31 per-second video models, in a range from 2 to 205 credits.
Veo 3.1 Fast costs more at 36 credits per second. It makes sense only when you specifically want Veo behavior. Sora 2 is no longer an option: its API shut down on September 24, 2026.
