specs, rate and where it runs

What it is good at

  • Clips from 3 to 30 seconds in one pass
  • Better camera moves and multi-shot direction
  • 720p or 1080p, in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 21:9

What it costs here

30 credits per second.

Clip lengths: 3 s – 30 s.

Resolutions: 720p, 1080p.

Where it falls short

  • Starts from a text prompt only on Ugesi
  • No 4K, 720p and 1080p only

What Kling 4.0 does well

Kling 4.0 renders up to 30 seconds in one pass. A scene can hold several beats without stitching separate clips. Kuaishou points to better camera moves and multi-shot direction. Long prompts are fine, which helps when one clip follows a small script.

The launch also announced up to 15 references and 10 keyframes per job. On Ugesi the model starts from text only for now.

Length, size and format

Pick 3, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. Choose 720p or 1080p, and 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 21:9. Vertical 9:16 suits reels and stories. The 21:9 frame gives a wide, cinematic look.

Pricing

At 1080p a second costs 30 credits. A 10-second clip costs 300 credits, about $3.19 at the best pack. At 720p a second costs 21 credits. Kling 3.0 costs 270 credits for 10 seconds and is the cheaper pick for clips up to 15 seconds.

Prompting Kling 4.0

Name the camera move, the lens and one light source. For a long clip, write the scene as short shots in order, with one action each. For example: "wide shot of a lighthouse at dusk, then the keeper climbing the stairs, then a close-up of the lamp turning on".

Start with 5 or 8 seconds at 720p to test the idea. When the motion looks right, run the full length at 1080p.
