What it is good at
- First on a public text-to-video leaderboard

NEW Alibaba · Video · 21 credits per second
Wan 3.0 is Alibaba's third-generation Wan video model, generally available since August 24, 2026. In October 2026 it led the Artificial Analysis text-to-video board. On Ugesi it costs 21 credits per second at 720p.
21 credits per second.
Clip lengths: 5 s, 10 s, 15 s.
Resolutions: 480p, 720p, 1080p.
Artificial Analysis ranks video models from blind votes between pairs of clips. In October 2026, Wan 3.0 led text to video with an Elo of 1175. The next five models sat within 20 points, inside the error band. Read that as a top-tier tie, not a runaway win.
Image to video is a different story. There it placed fifth, behind MiniMax H3 and Seedance 2.5. Use Wan 3.0 mainly when you start from words.
It holds one setting from the first frame to the last. That suits slow tracking shots, orbits around a building and walk-and-follow scenes. Try: "Steady tracking shot along an autumn forest trail, a hiker ahead, light flickering through the leaves."
AI Camera Motion uses it to move a still photo. Upload the image and pick Drone orbit, Crane up or Slow dolly in. Describe only the motion, since the picture already sets the scene.
Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p, and 5, 10 or 15 seconds. The 1080p option costs twice the 720p rate. Draft at 720p and 5 seconds, then move to 1080p once the motion reads right. Alibaba's own limit is 30 seconds per clip; Ugesi offers up to 15 for now.
At 720p, a 5-second clip costs 105 credits, about $1.12 at the best pack. A 10-second clip costs 210 credits. At 1080p, the same 10 seconds cost 420 credits, about $4.47. Counting from the cheapest, it ranks 20th of 31 per-second video models.
Alibaba says on-screen text rendering is still maturing. Avoid readable signs and labels in the frame, or add text in an editor afterwards. Wan 3.0 is also closed: unlike Wan 2.2, its weights are not public.
Seedance 2.5 at 27 credits per second makes single takes up to 30 seconds with sound. Kling 3.0 at 27 credits per second is stronger on hands, liquids and collisions. Wan 2.6 costs 18 credits per second at 1080p and returns clips with sound.
