How to use AI Movie Trailer

  1. Describe one shot, not the trailer

Each run makes one shot. In "Describe the shot", write a single moment: subject, place, light and camera move. For example: "wide desert road at dusk, a lone car, dust trail, slow push-in". Generate the shots you need and cut them together later.

  2. Start from a genre preset

Clicking one of the six genres under "Style preset" fills the box with one complete shot in that genre. This replaces what you wrote. Adapt it to your scene by changing the place and characters. Keep the light and pacing words, because they carry the genre.

  3. Set format, length and resolution

Under "Format", choose "Landscape 16:9" for a classic trailer or "Portrait 9:16" for vertical video. "Duration" offers 4, 6 or 8 seconds and "Resolution" 720p or 1080p; 1080p works only with 8-second shots.

  4. Generate several takes, then cut

Press "Generate shot" and check that the camera move and light match your text. If a shot is off, change one detail at a time rather than adding adjectives. Try the camera move or the light, for example. Keep the best takes and edit them together to music.

What this model is good at and where it stops

Veo 3.1 Lite: Drafting and testing camera moves before spending on a flagship. Among the lowest video rates here. Watch out for: lower detail.

Trailers are edited, not generated

A trailer is thirty cuts with rhythm. Generate the shots you need, then assemble them against a music bed and a rising sound design.

Genre is a lighting decision

Thriller is low light and long lenses. Horror is handheld and close. A preset replaces the text in the box with a full genre description, so pick it first. Then change the place and characters, and keep the light and pacing words.

Draft at 720p, finish selectively

Test the whole sequence at 720p. Then regenerate only the two or three hero shots at 1080p, which is available for 8-second shots.

Frequently asked questions

Can it generate a full trailer?

No, and nothing honest can. It generates the shots you cut together.

How long is each shot?

Four to eight seconds, which is longer than most trailer cuts anyway.

Can I add music?

Use the music generator for a bed you own, and the sound effects tool for impacts.

What does Veo 3.1 Lite cost here?

12 credits per second. The exact total appears above the button before you generate.
