How to use Storyboard Generator

  1. Describe the video, length and frames

In "What is the video about?", give the subject, the goal, the total length and the number of frames. For example: "40-second ad for a reusable water bottle, six frames, ends on the bottle and a tagline". A set frame count keeps the board focused.

  2. Start from a format preset

Chips under "Style preset", such as "Ad, 30 seconds" or "Product demo", fill the box with a full request. It lists what each frame must contain. A chip replaces your text, so pick it first, then swap in your product or story.

  3. Check timing and one action per frame

Press "Generate storyboard" and add up the frame durations: they should match your length. Each frame needs one clear action. If frames feel vague, ask for shot size, camera move, action and duration in every frame. Then generate again.

  4. Turn frames into images or video

The buttons under the result open the image or video generator with the whole storyboard as the prompt. For a single shot, keep only that frame's description in the text box before you generate.

A storyboard is a budget document

Deciding shots before you generate saves credits. Each frame gets a purpose and you stop rerolling the same idea.

What each shot includes

Shot type, action, camera move, lighting note and duration. That is exactly the vocabulary video models reward.

From board to footage

Under the result, one click sends the full storyboard to the image or video generator as its prompt. To render one shot only, delete the other frames from the box first.

What a run costs here

16 credits per 1k words with the default model, Long-form Writing. Short-form Copy costs 3 credits per run. The exact total sits above the button before you generate.

Frequently asked questions

What formats are supported?

Can I edit the board?

How is it priced?

Per 1,000 words. The images and video made from the shot list usually cost more.

How many credits does one storyboard take?

16 credits per 1k words with the default model, Long-form Writing; Short-form Copy costs 3 credits per run. The exact total appears above the button before you generate.
